La Chahute et sa forêt onirique s'invite au festival des Rugissantes
Imagine a special place, a refuge: a counter-world, a timeless pause, dedicated to rest, encounters and imagination.
Visual artist Lisa Mazoyer and craftsman Benoît Thomassey have designed this unique space together. Using cardboard, a recycled and local material, Benoît creates the furniture and structure, while Lisa transforms the material into a graphic and poetic medium.
This scenography invites the public to dream, slow down and fully experience the festival, in a sensitive and convivial interlude, unfolding in the heart of the village, on the outskirts, and occasionally at the various festival sites and in the Parc de la Verrerie.
Les Rugissantes is a multidisciplinary performing arts festival that combines dance, circus, street theatre and music, and opened up to the graphic arts with a unique installation from 5 to 7 July 2024.
This participatory project began in February 2024. After four residencies, the cardboard forest, centred on La Chahute, took shape during the festival.
During these residencies, workshops for children (both school and non-school) were organised, creating the people inside the Chahute.
